I’m a purse fanatic (come on, who isn’t?) and I’d never turn down a chance to check out a new bag, so when I was contacted by 88 to review one of their new handbags my answer was a resounding yes. 88 is a new handbag line designed by an expert creative team that has worked for world wide brands. The collection captures current trends and timeless styles, like this mini quilted crossbody bag I had the chance to review. I’ve been using the bag for a couple of weeks and I love how stylish and functional it is. The bag, made of vegan leather, is black with a quilted logo front and a gold 88 brand logo. It features a 23″ black and gold chain strap that can be removed so that the bag can be used as a clutch.
Inside is spacious with two zippered pouched, perfect for credit cards or smartphones. The bag dimensions are 7-1/2″W x 5″H x 2″D overall, which make this the perfect size for a night out when you don’t want to be weighed down. It also makes a great every day bag, which is how I’ve been using it. It is large enough to hold my cellphone, credit cards, hair ties and chapstick. I love how stylish it looks and how well it has held up to daily use. 88 is also very affordable and I was truly impressed with the quality of this bag, which runs about $25.00. It looks and feels like a much pricier purchase.
Another thing I love about 88 is that it’s a vegan brand that uses no animal products. This bag is made entirely of vegan, or synthetic, leather – which is incredibly soft and supple. All of the suppliers that 88 works with are certified for human rights and good working condition, and I love supporting companies that have a passion for ensuring their products are environmentally and socially sound.
88 has a fairly large selection of bags, from backpacks and totes to clutches and wallets, with trendy and season appropriate styles. If you have someone who’s fashion forward on your list 88 Brand Handbags make a great gift that won’t break the bank.
