Whether you’re rounding out your own registry, or looking for the perfect baby shower gift, this list is full of must-have products for babies and moms! From nutritious breakfasts delivered monthly to peace of mind at night with high tech monitors there’s something for every new parent – all tested and reviewed by a veteran momma of four!
Snuza Pico – We’ve been using Snuza movement monitors for a long time, and this latest model – the Snuza Pico – is by far the most advanced – and my favorite! Just like other Snuza models, the Snuza Pico clips securely onto baby’s diaper and monitors movement and breathing, vibrating to rouse baby when it detects weak movement and sounding an alarm to wake parents if it detects no breathing at all. The Pico model also tracks body temperature (great for those nights when baby is under the weather and you want to keep an eye on her temperature without waking her!), and body position, so you can know if baby had rolled onto her belly or some other less desirable position. There is also build in fall detection, so you can know right away if baby has taken a tumble – something I know parents will appreciate once their little ones are trying to escape their cribs at night.
The Snuza Pico has bluetooth capability and connects directly to your phone so that you view all of this information in real time right from your phone. The app is easy to install and setup – we had everything running in under five minutes. I love that I can put my son down for a nap and go sit in the backyard with my older kids, able to keep an eye on exactly what’s happening as my son sleeps right from my phone. The monitor itself is tiny – My son now rolls over to sleep on his stomach and the monitor has never bothered him. The battery lasts us about 2-3 days, depending on how much we use it on a given day, and charges very quickly with the included charger. Since the Snuza Pico is so portable it can be used anywhere – in a hotel, at grandma’s house – even napping on a towel at the beach! | Amazon.com – $120.00
Syki Bath Support – Another go to for me – the Syki Bath Support makes bathtime with a newborn so easy! The support gently and securely cradles your baby securely during bath time, preventing slippery baby struggles. The bath support itself is lightweight and slim, easy to store away when it’s not in use. It’s also extremely easy to clean and dry. It fits babies from newborn to six months, so it’s as versatile as it is low maintenance. | Amazon.com – $25.98
HootBox For Kids Subscription Box – This subscription box is the only subscription box specifically tailored to babies, toddler and young children. Designed for kids newborn to six years each box includes toys and products designed specifically for your child’s developmental age. You fill out a brief questionnaire about your child’s abilities and interests and you get a box totally customized to them! I love that you can sign up for regular deliveries, ensuring your child will always have fun, new toys that are suited for every stage. | $34.99/box, Discounts Available on Monthly Plans
Tiny Bites Food Shears -These food shears have become a diaper bag staple as my son begins eating solid foods. They are so simple to use when we are out and I need to cut some food into bite size pieces for him. There’s even a ruler on the blade to double check food sizes for safety! It’s so much faster than using a knife and perfect for days when we are eating on the go and don’t have a knife or table handy for cutting up food. I was able to cut up grapes during a six mile hike last week without having to carry a ton of unnecessary things. | Amazon.com – $8.99
Olive Kids Wildkin Munch N Lunch Bags – These insulated lunch bags are a go to for all of my kids. My older boys tote lunch and drinks off to camp in them, and I keep one handy to keep baby bottles, juice and snacks cool for m younger boys. I love how large and sturdy the bags are – they hold up well to the daily abuse of children and keep food cool for hours. There are so many fun prints to choose from, so all of my kids can express themselves with their own lunch bags – and they’re easy to clean and fold flat for storage! | Wildkin.com – $15.99
Fresh Bellies Baby Food – Created by a mom who felt babies should eat real food from the start, Fresh Bellies combines nothing but fresh veggies or fruit and herbs and spices to created flavors even a mom would love. With choices like Broccoli Ever After (Broccoli, Swiss Chard and Garlic), We Got The Beet (Golden Beets and Thyme) and Cauliflower Dreamin’ (Cauliflower and Bell Peppers) you can expand baby’s palate by helping them discover real foods without any added salt or sugar. I love that Fresh Bellies doesn’t use fruit to mask the flavors of all the great veggies in the food. I have to be honest, I’ve tried every flavor myself and have even worked to recreate the flavors in this baby food with my own meals. Cauliflower Dreamin’ is seriously good and my personal favorite. I’ve been trying to work those flavors into a hummus type veggie spread for the summer. And my son loves the food, which is refrigerated because there are no added preservatives or chemicals in them, so you are always guaranteed fresh tasting, delicious food. These portable cups even come with a spoon inside the lid, so you can offer baby great food absolutely anywhere without any fuss! – Find a retailer!
Max & Ola Shoes – The baby shoes are the perfect first shoe for baby. Made from all natural materials and without any harsh chemicals Max & Ola Tot Moccasins are great for pre-walkers and first walkers. They slip on and off easily and feature rubberized “pebbles” on the bottom and heel of the shoe that help babies learn to walk confidently, without slipping and sliding. They’re hand-stitched and vegetable tanned, making them stylish and hypo-allergenic! We get so many comments over how adorable these shoes are, and I’m in love with how easily they slip on and stay put all day, so I’m never searching for a lost shoe! | Max & Ola – $78.00
Chewbeads – This is a stylish new-mom accessory that is great for baby too! Once your baby learns to grab at things wearing jewelry is basically off limits as you’ll spend all of your time trying to keep baby from breaking it or chewing on it. With Chewbeads you can still accessorize your outfit and make baby happy. My son loves these Chewbeads, and happily chomps on them whenever we are out and about, plus the bold colors make it easy for me to find the perfect accessory for my outfit! Chewbeads are made of silicone, so they are safe and washable too! | Chewbeads.com $36.50
Oatbox – This one is for mom! The demands of a new baby make it difficult to focus on things like eating a healthy breakfast or preparing healthy snacks. Oatbox helps take the guesswork out of good food by delivering two packages of granola each month. These organic rolled oats are packed with delicious goodies and new flavors, so breakfast will never be boring. I eat them with milk, or sprinkled over yogurt with fresh berries. A handful of granola also makes a great snack. I love getting a box on my doorstep each month and not having to remember to stock up on breakfast foods! Oh, and your first order comes with a free glass jar, perfect for taking your granola on the go and keeping it fresh! | Oatbox.com – $20.00/box
