Over the summer I shared our love for eeBoo’s Create-a-Story cards with you. The cards still have a permanent place in our game cabinet, and we often sit around the table making up silly stories with the help of the story cards. We’ve also had the chance to use some of Eeboo’s other products – specifically their line of crafts for kids. I decided to write a little about them today because Eeboo is currently giving away $300 worth of craft supplies to one lucky teacher for their classroom. Since we know (and love) so many amazing teachers, I wanted to get the word out about Eeboo’s great products and the contest! Check out our favorite crafts, then follow the link to enter your favorite teacher into the $300 eeBoo Arts & Craft Giveaway!
Eeboo focuses on quality and safety with all their products, so naturally all of their art and craft supplies are made of high quality materials and non toxic inks. These are some of our favorite Eeboo crafts:
Chameleon Pipe Cleaners ($3.99) – These pipe cleaners come with instructions to create adorable little chameleon figures. I was surprised at how quickly my eight year old mastered this and had decorated his room with tiny green chameleons. He really liked this one, the pipe cleaners were easy to work with and the instruction were simple to follow.
Eeboo Play Papers ($7.99) – Play papers actually tops the list for our favorite eeBoo crafts, because there are just so many things you can do with them! Play papers are a package of brightly colored paper that can be used for just about anything. My youngest likes to make paper airplanes to fly around the house, while my eight year old and his cousin prefer to make more detailed items like sailboats and silly hats. The patterns are fun and eye catching and I love that each of the kids can use them to their own skill level. The box has lots of ideas and instructions on the inside to get you started with some fun paper creations, and after that your imagination is the limit!
Waste-Not Animals – I love having pre-packaged crafts around for those days when I don’t really feel like digging around for dozens of supplies. The Waste-Not Hedgehog was perfect. The kit includes everything except the 6oz yogurt container needed, so after having some yogurt with our breakfast we were all ready to begin. This was a great opportunity to talk about recycling and reusing items, and the craft itself was simple and fun. Before long we had an adorable hedgehog pal. The finished product was surprisingly sturdy and has survived many games of dinosaur attack so far. These kits are high on my holiday gifting list!
Craft Scissors ($3.49) – While not technically a craft I am including these because my five year old loved them all summer, so much that he begged to take them to school as well rather than buying a new pair. They have a comfortable grip and cut very cleanly. I’m ordered some extra pairs for home and for my three year old to begin learning to cut with!
