My kids are awesome. We had a “family party” on Valentine’s Day, which is pretty much just an excuse for me to cook a lot of food and have some family over. The boys were really excited about it this year. They helped plan the menu and decorations. When they woke up in the morning they were really excited about the day ahead… and maybe I let them have some chocolate after breakfast. I finished washing the dishes and found this waiting for me.
Quite honestly one of the best “Valentine’s” I could have asked for, because I’m always trying to make things exciting and memorable for the kids, and knowing they appreciate it makes me over-the-moon kind of happy.
Oh, this cheese and meat tray also made me pretty happy…
Especially because I managed to find some of these delicious pickles for it:
Yes, that jar is mostly empty and I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who ate them, but they were divine! Valentine’s Day was most definitely filled with things I love – most importantly my family (but these pickles are running a close second, guys).
What little tokens of love mean the most to you?
